The Giving Tuesday movement is intended to counteract some of the consumerism that has encroached on this season of good cheer by promoting gifts to nonprofit and charitable organizations.
Broadcasters interested in participating may want to donate to the Museum of Broadcast Communications in Chicago. Since 1987, it has aimed to provide services to students, scholars and the general public who seek information and analyses about the role of radio and television in society.
