Glenn Schuck Giving Keynote at NSEMC 2016

New York City radio reporter will discuss role of journalists in 21st century media landscape

Long-time radio news report Glenn Schuck will be imparting some of his knowledge and experience to the future broadcasters as a keynote speaker for the fifth annual National Student Electronic Media Convention, College Broadcasters Inc. has announced. The convention is slated to take place in Philadelphia from Oct. 20–22.

Schuck has served as a DJ and host for stations all across the country, but currently works as a reporter and anchor for New York’s WINS(AM) news station. Schuck was heavily involved in the coverage of the aftermath of 9/11 and has covered most of the major news events in the New York area over the past 16 years. He was earned accolades from the Associated Press, New York Press Club and the NY AIR Awards, and served as president of the New York Press Club from 2009–2012.

Having been a part of student broadcasting during his time at Seton Hall University, Schuck will share his insights with current students on topics like the media’s coverage of the 2016 presidential election, the evolving role of journalists in the 21st century media landscape, and the ways that he worked to create the career that he has had.

Schuck is scheduled to address NSEMC on Oct. 22.
