GM Adds HD Radio to More Models

HD Radio-capable 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks now at dealerships

General Motors has added HD Radio to more vehicles in its lineup.

The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks, now at dealerships, include HD Radio capability in their big-screen infotainment systems in the dash.

The Silverado and Sierra join other GM vehicles with HD Radio technology that are already available at dealerships including, the Chevrolet Traverse and Impala, the Buick Enclave, the Cadillac ATS, CTS, SRX and XTS and the GMC Acadia.

IBiquity Digital COO Jeff Jury describes GM as a “key industry partner” in the digital transition.

Thirty-three automakers to date have now announced plans to incorporate digital radio technology in 170+ models by year-end with 80 models featuring HD Radio receivers as standard equipment.
