Google said it grew at an “impressive pace during a seasonally slower quarter.” It announced financial results for Q2, reporting revenues of $2.46 billion, up 77% over the second quarter of last year and up 9% compared to the first quarter of this year.
The company said its own sites generated revenues of $1.43 billion, or 58% of total revenues; its “network” revenue, through partner sites, generated revenues through AdSense programs of $997 million, or 41% of the total.
The company is now a presence in the radio supplier market, having recently purchased dMarc Broadcasting and hired former Harris radio exec Jim Woods to head station automation operations.
