Gray Television is acquiring the broadcast properties of Schurz Communications. That includes over one dozen radio stations in Indiana and South Dakota.
Gray’s main interest is the 10 Schurz TV stations, and a release from the company on the sale focused on those. One of those TV stations is WDBJ, Roanoke, Va., the station where two employees were recently killed by a former employee.
Whether Gray will sell the radio stations or keep them was not mentioned. The release mentioned the price as being $442.5 million.
