The 2013 Great Lakes Broadcasting Conference & Expo will be held March 12–13 in Lansing, Mich.
This event will include a presentation by Fred Jacobs, Paul Jacobs and Lori Lewis of Jacobs Media entitled “Media IS on the Move!,” which will focus on opportunities for media professionals created by changes in technology, as well as why radio and TV still dominate when it comes to providing local content. The presentation explores audience media consumption habits and what stations can do to engage listeners and improve brand strength.
Skip Pizzi of the National Association of Broadcasters will also speak about “Emerging Technologies and Trends in Radio and Television Broadcasting.” Billed as a “survey of the new media landscape” geared toward broadcast engineers, Pizzi will explore everything from hybrid radio and TV broadcasting, HD Radio to Internet radio to incentive spectrum auctions and more.
