Station group owner Greater Media is celebrating its 60th anniversary on March 31.
The roots of the company go back to the purchase by founders Peter Bordes and Joseph Rosenmiller of WESO(AM) in Southbridge, Mass., in 1956.
It now has 21 AM and FM stations concentrated in five markets: Boston, Charlotte, N.C., Detroit, New Jersey and Philadelphia.
It also owns a publishing arm that includes 10 weekly community newspapers in New Jersey. The Braintree, Mass.-based company is privately held by the Bordes family
