Joyce MacDonald has been named CEO of Minneapolis-based Greater Public, effective May 15, according to an announcement from GPB Board Chair Paul Jacobs.
MacDonald is currently vice president of journalism for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. She also worked at NPR as VP of its member and audience partnership program, director of station relations and chief of staff. She also served as interim president and CEO of National Public Media. She has worked in media and marketing for 35 years.
She replaces Doug Eichten, who will retire in July of this year.
