The Station Resource Group, representing 47 licensees that operate 168 non-comm stations, supports efforts (see story above) to simplify the FCC FM allocation process, reduce backlog and make additional frequencies available.
SRG cautioned, however, against throwing all vacant FM allotments into the next FM auction, saying, “By appearing to clean out the pantry, the FCC could inadvertently create panic based on an artificial ‘last chance’ for spectrum.”
