European Radio Awards (ERA) organizers have named U.S.-based Global Traffic Network Inc. (GTN) as the title sponsor for its inaugural awards event.
GTN provides customized traffic reports to affiliated radio and television stations across Australia and Canada in exchange for commercial airtime inventory. GTN has also set up a U.K.-based subsidiary and, at press time, was in the process of launching its services in Europe.
“As a company planning to launch outstanding services to great radio stations across the continent, we are proud to be so closely associated with the European Radio Awards’ acknowledgement of the best in radio,” said GTN European Managing Director Paul Hutton.
“GTN is all about making traffic information sound exciting and interesting on the radio,” said Hutton, “and working with an organization which recognizes exciting and interesting radio is a perfect fit for us.”
The Global Traffic Network European Radio Awards take place 5 November as part of the NAB European Radio Conference in Barcelona, Spain.
