Ham Operator Fined $11,000 for Interference

Ham radio operator Daniel Granda of Whittier, Calif., has garnered an $11,000 fine from the FCC for intentionally interfering with other amateur radio operators and failing to respond to commission correspondence. The agency said Granda did not respond to its initial notice of a fine so the agency reaffirmed the penalty, which he must pay within 30 days.
