Scott Leslie
Audio equipment manufacturer Harman International announced a pair of appointments.
Scott Leslie is the new director of engineering for the Harman Professional Loudspeaker Business Unit at JBL Professional. He most recently was CEO of Evidant Corp., a software company he founded. He has worked at Fender and Altec Lansing. Leslie will report to Mark Ureda, VP/GM Harman Professional Loudspeaker Business Unit, JBL Professional.
He holds MSEE degree in acoustics from Georgia Tech and an MBA from University of California – Irvine. Leslie’s father is Don Leslie, inventor of the Leslie Speaker.
In other Harman appointments, David Scheirman is the new director, Knowledge Resources, Harman Professional. Scheirman most recently worked for JBL on its tour sound market products line. He will report to Michael MacDonald, VP of sales & marketing at Harman Professional.
A release announcing the appointment describes the position: “Scheirman has responsibility for establishing and managing new training and instructional programs and activities for the company on a worldwide scale.”
