Harman International’s Aha Radio says a partnership with AdsWizz will enable the company to begin delivering targeted audio advertising to its users.
AdsWizz will be the primary technology partner for the Harman interactive service’s new initiative, which focuses on targeted audio advertising in vehicles and mobile phones through the Aha Radio app. According to a release, this is the first time that the AdsWizz server-side Audio Injector for Streamers will be used in vehicle audio advertising.
The app converts Internet content, such as social media updates and music, into radio personalized stations that can then be accessed in cars or on smartphones.
The deal means Aha will be able to monetize its base of over 50 car models, including Acura, Chrysler, Ford, Honda, Mazda, Porsche, Subaru and Toyota. As of 2013, there were more than 2 million Aha-enabled vehicles on the road, according to a release. Aha, in partnership with AdsWizz. will test short- and long-form messaging in a manner that is driver-appropriate and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration-compliant.
AdsWizz provides audience insight and targeting capabilities, as well as ad insertion and management technologies, for Aha and other digital content providers.
