Unique Interactive, a UK-based company that develops software for digital radio operators, hand Harris will cooperate to integrate “Display Text” into Harris HD Radio products. Harris says the advanced text display formats go beyond what RDS can offer.
ManDLS provides radio stations with an online tool to create, manage and schedule dynamic text for display on HD Radios. The system links with playout systems for track and artist data, much like RDS, and advanced modes link the system to information databases for traffic, news and weather, and integrate that data into the existing text stream for live broadcast over an HD Radio receiver.
ManDLS will be rebranded as a Harris product and integrated into the company’s radio product portfolio
