David Crawford has been appointed managing director of Harris Broadcast Europe. Dr. Crawford will be responsible for business operations of Harris Broadcast Europe, which includes all of the company’s European-standard products. Crawford began his career at Marconi at its Chelmsford, U.K. headquarters. From there he moved on to the British Telecom Research labs where he was head of Advanced TV Systems, after which he worked with Bell Labs and Bellcore in the U.S. He joined Harris after working in the transmission and equipment arenas with RE and Snell & Wilcox.
