Harris Makes Promotions, Emphasizes Consolidated Ops

Harris Corp. named Jay Adrick to the new position of VP of strategic business development at its broadcast division. Douglas Stark also joins as VP of studio products and systems.
Adrick’s activities will span the Harris Broadcast Communications business units, covering transmission systems, automation and studio products and systems. The company said he will focus first on systems that support consolidated operations and central broadcast management.
This appears to be in keeping with other recent changes at Harris. For example, the company last week announced it would sharply scale back its console and cabinetry operation in California, moving those functions to Ohio.
Adrick will serve as Harris’ representative to organizations like the ATSC and SMPTE. He had been VP of studio products and systems for the Broadcast Communications Division.
Stark is a former controller and VP of worldwide sales and marketing in RF Communications, and former VP of joint ventures for Harris Publishing Systems Corp.
