Harris Ships to Affected Area

Harris completed, tested and shipped a total of four television transmitters as well as two FM radio transmitters from its Quincy, Illinois factory last week. A fifth television transmitter and a third FM transmitter were set to leave the factory next.
Products that typically take weeks to ship were shipped in two days, said Harris. The company said its ability to respond to the emergency was significantly helped by customers who had products on order but agreed to accept later deliveries.
Harris also has arranged for installation engineers — from Boston, Houston, Miami and Philadelphia — to travel to New York to provide installation support.
