Halid Hatic has been named VP/GM of Silex Media Americas.
The company is master distributor of DAVID Systems products.
Halid previously directed sales at Avid Technology, where he developed the Avid brand in the western U.S. and Latin America markets and was responsible for sales in excess of $40 million a year.
He also is former president of start-up Curious Software; he comes to Silex Media from VIZRT where, as VP of business development, he helped develop strategic partnerships.
The announcement was made by Stephan K. Schindler, CEO of Silex Media.
In 2007 Silex Media investor SGI Japan Ltd. acquired all of the shares in D.A.V.I.D. GmbH.
