KWRP(FM) in Riverside, Calif., has posted a $10,000 reward in the case of a missing TFT Reciter that apparently was stolen.
Don McCoy of the station said the unit was taken on July 11 or 12. It carries serial number 1080312.
The theft took place in Cherry Valley above Beaumont, Calif., at the site of KWRP’S new tower. The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department is involved.
The thieves used heavy-duty cutters to gain entrance through a chain-link fence and destroyed the door to the transmitter shack. There were no witnesses, McCoy said.
