HCJB Exceeds Goals

Radios for Africa program totals 7,000 radios

International religious broadcaster HCJB’s recent campaign with Moody Radio to raise funds to deliver pre-tuned radios, amongst other things, appears to have succeeded.

According to a press release, enough money was raised to send 7,000 radios, or 2,000 above the initial goal, allowing organizers to ship radios to Burkina Faso and Sierra Leone in addition to Ghana. Listeners will be able to tune in three HCJB partners in the region.

The radios were designed by HCJB’s Global Technology Center in Elkhart, Ind. The on-air campaign was conducted at five Moody Radio stations in recent weeks.
