HD Radio Multicasting Audience Increases

More radios plus more signals equals more listening

Using recent Nielsen numbers, iBiquity is pointing to a larger HD Radio multicast audience.

Referring to the fall 2013 Nielsen Audio Nationwide audience estimate, iBiquity highlighted an almost 300% increase in HD2/HD3/HD4 average quarter hour listening over the fall 2011 numbers, two years earlier. Also noted was a more than 250% increase in Cume over the same time period.

The company pointed to an increasing installed base of HD Radios along with a growing number of HD2/HD3/HD4 signals available for the rise in listening numbers.
