iBiquity Digital has several new demos and products on the exhibit floor at the NAB Radio Show here in Philadelphia.
In addition to the new Zune HD and Insignia HD portables, iBiquity will have several personal navigation demos showcasing HD Radio’s real-time traffic capabilities in its booth (#134).
On display is the first commercially available portable navigation device from Cydle with a built-in HD Radio receiver and real-time traffic updates from Total Traffic Network; the unit also features an electronic program guide that displays station and program information.
Also featured is a prototype vehicle power adapter with built-in HD Radio receiver from Kiryung Electronics displaying Navteq Traffic.
iBiquity’s booth also includes the HD Radio development platform with a technology demonstration for image support, displaying album art with song information and traffic map images. Conditional Access is being demonstrated on the Dice iTR-100 with subscription content from ESPN, as well as a receiver showing the HD Radio Emergency Alerts System.
A total of 14 automotive HD Radio receivers are on display along side 16 home theater and table-top IBOC radios.
