HD Radio Seminar From Harris Is Set

Four-day event is free

Four days of free HD Radio seminarial fun with the Harris Training Dept. at its manufacturing facility in Quincy, Ill., are on the docket.

Starting May 16, the next Harris HD Radio Seminar commences. The four-day event is free, including lunch. A release describes this as an “intensive HD Radio technology training program, covering relevant topics that range from digital consoles, networked audio systems and IT considerations in the studio; all the way to antenna options and mathematical principles for selecting combining methods at the transmission site.”

The release said further: “Participants will see and use the actual equipment required to plan, install, configure and verify a new HD system; as well as test, maintain and troubleshoot an existing IBOC AM or FM system. The course covers many of today’s options for planning and managing a station’s migration to HD Radio, including the latest updates on elevated and asymmetrical sidebands.”
