HD-R Needs Improved Explanations

HD-R Needs Improved Explanations

Quality alone won’t sell HD Radio. Industry needs to do a better job of explaining what HD Radio is and its benefits to listeners. That’s according to audience research analyst Mark Kassof.
In his “Slog,” which he describes as an occasional or “slow” blog, Kassof states his research shows that of the 38% of 18-64s who have an awareness of HD Radio, most think they have heard of it, but are not sure what the label means.
“This thing is still in a diaper,” Kassoff quotes one of his clients involved with the technology as saying.
