Heil Sound recently unveiled its PR-R, an omnidirectional microphone designed for ENG reporting.

It features a moving-coil dynamic element with an internal shock mount that reduces handling noise. The company promotes its 300-millimeter extended handle length; non-glare, slim profile; and zinc die-cast body construction, which the company claims enables the microphone to withstand physical and environmental conditions encountered during field production operations.

Frequency response is 50 Hz to 16.5 kHz, sensitivity is -68 dB and output impedance is 600 ohms balanced. Additional features include a high-output dynamic transducer, foam pop shield and extended frequency response with rising high end.
