A rare opportunity: NewBay Media has an opening for the editor of a premier broadcast technology magazine and brand.
Lead the editorial coverage of a monthly publication, website, newsletters and special events for Radio magazine, “the radio broadcast technology leader,” which has served the industry for more than 20 years. The successful candidate will possess a combination of radio broadcast engineering knowledge and exceptional editing and writing skills. (Longtime editor Chriss Scherer is moving on to other opportunities but will continue to be involved with the publication as a valued contributor.)
Perhaps you are a current or former engineer who’s been told you have a penchant for explaining tech topics clearly. Or maybe you are a journalist or B2B editor who has unusual familiarity with the specialized world of broadcast codecs, IP audio, RF technology and new media. Those are the kind of candidates we’re looking for. You must be able to write; you must be able to help others to write; and you must be able to communicate about technology effectively.
SBE/IT certifications, experience with content management systems/HTML and familiarity with social media platforms are helpful. This position is based in Alexandria, Va., with occasional travel. Join the growing NewBay Media family, where your sister publications will include Radio World, TV Technology, Broadcasting & Cable and other industry-leading titles.
Please email a résumé, salary requirements and cover letter (no calls please) explaining your experience in radio broadcast technology and written communication to Paul McLane, pmclane@nbmedia.com.
