HERE has partnered with Honda Canada Inc. and the Broadcaster Traffic Consortium to provide in-vehicle HD Traffic service in Canada. The service will first be available in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, Vancouver, and Calgary, before expanding to additional Canadian markets.
HERE HD Traffic lets drivers and passengers view detailed information on local traffic conditions in real time on their vehicle’s audio display screen without the vehicle being connected to a wireless network, explains the firm. It adds that Honda is the first brand to offer the service, which is available on certain of its 2015 and 2016 models.
HERE HD Traffic, part of among the suite of products within HERE Traffic Services, is available in the United States and now in Canada.
