HHB Director of Ops Retires After 30 Years

Richard Kershaw will soon step down

Richard Kershaw is retiring as director of operations for HHB Communications Ltd.

Kershaw began his career at HHB in 1983 after meeting Managing Director Ian Jones while working for theatre sound specialists Hardware House. During his 30-year tenure he saw the company launch technologies including the Portadat, CDR-882 and other models, the BurnIt range of CD recorders and FlashMic, in addition to a variety HHB recording media, which continues to be available today.

HHB, its Soho subsidiary Scrub and music technology supplier Source Distribution have continued to grow and are a group of companies specializing in sales, service and technical support for professional audio brands. In his role as operations director, Kershaw oversaw the U.K. and overseas distribution arms of the companies along with many other duties.

HHB Managing Director Ian Jones said, “As one of the longest-serving HHB directors, Richard has helped steer the company through exciting times of growth over the past three decades. His knowledge, attention to detail and great sense of humor have made him a well-liked and respected colleague of the professional audio industry and we wish him the best of luck.”
