Hoffman to Headline Radio Show

Advertising expert to discuss “the reality of advertising and media today”

Advertising consultant and expert Bob Hoffman has been announced as the keynote speaker for this year’s Radio Show.

Hoffman will speak on Sept. 10, around 3:45 pm, following the show’s opening remarks from RAB President and CEO Erica Farber and NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith.

His speech is entitled “The Golden Age of BS.” According to the announcement it will “address the gulf between what we are being told by ‘experts’ and the reality of advertising and media today, with specific focus on broadcast radio.”

Hoffman is a partner in Type A Group, a consulting firm that works with advertisers, marketers and media. He is the author of “101 Contrarian Ideas About Advertising” and writers the “The Ad Contrarian” blog. He was the founder of ad agency Hoffman/Lewis and has counted AT&T, Bank of America, Blue Cross, Chevrolet, McDonald’s, Nestle, Pepsico, Shell and Toyota among his clients.

The Radio Show will be held Sept. 10–12 in Indianapolis.
