Holiday Music Was Big Online; AccuRadio Moves Up

Radio stations weren’t the only ones pumping out a lot of Christmas music in December.
Listening to holiday music over the Internet reached 7 million hours on 11 stations, seven of which were in the top 50, in the month of December, according to Arbitron’s Internet Broadcast Ratings.
AOL’s Classic Holiday topped the ARB channel charts with 3.2 million hours of total time spent listening. Others among the top stations included AOL’s Pop Holiday at No. 4 and MusicMatch’s Contemporary Christmas at No. 15.
Overall, the rankings of the top five Internet broadcasters and sales networks measured by Arbitron were unchanged from November. AOL Radio@Network was the easy winner, followed by Launch, MusicMatch, The AdSertion Network and Virgin Radio. AccuRadio moved up from the No. 8 slot to No. 6 in the rankings.
The top content delivery networks were Live365 and StreamGuys.
