Hoosier Engineers to Rally in Indy

Annual engineering workshop attracts regional attendance

As everyone knows, basketball season is the most important season in Indiana. And that doesn’t start until later in the year, so there’s no excuse for engineers not to attend the annual Indiana Broadcasters Association’s annual Engineering Workshop in October.

This year’s edition takes place Oct. 27–28 at the Renaissance Hotel in Indianapolis.

Plan on two days of exhibitors, workshops, panel discussions, speeches and special events. Engineers and other interested folks from Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Ohio are expected to attend.

Also expected to attend and give presentations will be representatives from Belden, Bird Technologies, Comrex, ERI and Nautel, among others.

Advanced plans reveal topics to be examined include “10-Gigabit Cable for Audio and Video Applications,” “Audio Coding for IP and BRIC Technology,” “Power Measurement Basics” and “Galvanic Corrosion.” Organizers also hope to have an FCC official from the Chicago District Office on hand to speak.
The workshop program and registration will be mailed and e-mailed to the organization’s engineer list in September. Meanwhile send questions to indba@aol.com.
