Arbitron released new ratings software for its Houston demonstration of the Portable People Meter.
With the software, Houston programmers can download weekly updates of their audience ratings; previously they waited for up to a month.
The company designed the software to look and feel like the monthly Arbitrends so programmers will see the same dayparts and the same demographics they’re used to.
Executives will be able to trend week-to-week estimates for encoded stations in PPM-measured markets.
On Aug. 24, Arbitron delivered a Houston PPM ratings report covering the week of Thursday, July 27, through Wednesday, Aug. 2, plus weekly back data for the four weeks in July. Subsequent weekly audience estimates can be accessed directly from Arbitron’s online data delivery system, TapMedia. Data for Aug. 3-9 will be available on Aug. 28.
The 2006 delivery schedule for PPM Weeklies can be found at www.arbitron.com/ppm.
