The FCC is now reporting low-power FM statistics along with its quarterly summary of U.S. broadcast stations.
As of June 30, there were 13,557 U.S. radio stations, of which 4,759 are AMs, 6,213 are FM commercial and 2,585 are FM NCEs.
In addition to those 13,557, there were 3,906 FM translators and boosters and 498 LPFMs.
How does that compare to three months earlier? There are now two fewer AMs, eight more FM commercial and 34 more NCEs; and there are nine more FM translators and boosters than there were at the end of March.
