Jim H. Huang has joined audio equipment maker Harman Professional, filling the newly created position of head of corporate development.
Harman Professional includes such brands as AKG, Studer, dbx, JBL, Crown, BSS and Soundcraft. According to the announcement, Huang’s purview will include “driving growth strategies including market analysis, mergers and acquisitions activities and emerging market initiatives such as branding, channel strategy and local sourcing and manufacturing.”
He will work with China and India Country Managers David Jin and M. Lakshminarayan. He will report to Harman Professional Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales Michael MacDonald and Chief Financial Officer Greg Henry.
Huang most recently was with accounting firm Ernst & Young where he focused on mergers and acquisitions.
