Hyundai Expands HD Radio Offerings

Company says HD is standard in 2012 Azera, option on 2013 Genesis Coupe

Hyundai announced that HD Radio will be a standard feature in the 2012 Azera and an option on the 2013 Genesis Coupe.

The Genesis Coupe will arrive at dealerships in March and the Azera will go on sale in April.

An AM/FM/HD Radio that also features XM Satellite Radio and can play MP3s and CDs is standard in the Azera, along with an iPod/USB and auxiliary input jacks.

The Azera joins the Equus as the second Hyundai vehicle with HD Radio as a standard feature. Hyundai’s Genesis Sedan and Sonata also offer HD Radio. The Genesis Coupe will offer HD Radio on the 3.8 Grand Touring/Track and 2.0T Premium models.

With these Hyundai announcements, HD Radio is or will be available as a factory-installed feature on about 110 announced vehicle models from 23 automotive brands.
