Digital Radio Mondiale will be in attendance at IBC2015 and will be bringing the latest on DRM (DRM30 and DRM+) to the RAI Convention Center in Amsterdam where attendees will have the chance to meet DRM experts, broadcasters and manufacturers.
The consortium will also be touching on recent market developments in Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America, as well as equipment, including new receivers.
Fraunhofer IIS, Thomson Broadcast, Nautel, GatesAir, RIZ Transmitters, RFmondial, Babcock, Ampegon and Transradio will be showcasing DRM on their stands. Fraunhofer IIS will highlight the first India-made DRM receiver with xHE-AAC on Friday Sept. 11 at 2 p.m. at an event held at stand 8.B80. Thomson Broadcast will then focus on DRM transmitters for alert system developments on Saturday Sept. 12 at 11 a.m. on stand 8.C35, while Nautel will showcase new aspects of the DRM digital technology at 3:30 p.m. on stand 8.C49. Sunday will feature a joint event on integrated systems between Ampegon and Transradio at 11 a.m. on stand 8.D35.
“Last year we made an exciting announcement and we hope that IBC2015 will be even better for all those interested in digital sound broadcasting technology with the increasing interest in DRM and the co-existence of DRM with other similar technologies,” said Ruxandra Obreja, DRM consortium chairman.
