Session will focus on radio’s future in the digital age

WorldDAB will host an Industry Insight panel at the upcoming IBC 2015 show. The session will look at the motivating factors behind the adoption of DAB by large commercial and public broadcasters across Europe, as well as Ofcom U.K.’s solution for small-scale DAB broadcasting.

Speakers for the IBC2015 session include Patrick Hannon, president of WorldDMB; Menno Koningsberger, CEO of 538 Group; Peter Davies, director of content policy, Ofcom U.K.; Jacqueline Bierhorst, project director, Digital Radio+ NL; Laurence Harrison, technology and market development director, Digital Radio U.K.; and Elena Puigrefagut, senior project manager, technology & innovation, EBU.

“WorldDAB is proud to bring the focus to DAB digital radio at this important event,” said Bernie O’Neill, project director at WorldDAB. “In recent years our session at IBC consistently attracted a record number of participants, reflecting the high level of interest and increasing international adoption of DAB digital radio.”

WorldDAB’s Industry Insight session will take place Sept. 14, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Theater 102.

WorldDAB says it will also showcase the latest in DAB receivers available on the market and that Project Office team will be on hand to offer support and information on how WorldDAB can help with the implementation of DAB/DAB+ in new markets.
