Ibiquity Digital Corporation has hired Perry Priestley as director of international broadcast business development. The 20-year broadcast veteran will broaden Ibiquity’s efforts to roll out HD Radio around the world.
Priestley has worked in both technical and commercial positions within the broadcast industry throughout his career. Most recently, he served as director of sales for Thales Broadcast and Multimedia, overseeing the Canadian, Caribbean and Latin American markets. At Thales, Priestley’s responsibilities included marketing, sales and standards promotion in the digital radio and television markets. He has also held positions with Comark Communications, Philips North America and Pye TVT.
Ibiquity COO Jeff Jury said the company is seeing increased interest in its HD Radio technology from international markets.
