Ibiquity Claims 180 Stations Committed

Ibiquity Digital says there are approximately 180 U.S. radio stations licensed to go on the air with the digital technology. The company declines to publish a user list because it says some stations prefer to wait on their announcements for competitive reasons and publicize it themselves. Radio World’s most recent independent tally shows approximately 135 stations that have gone on the air, ordered HD Radio equipment or otherwise indicated a commitment to doing so.
