Ibiquity Gathers Radio Group Execs for CES

Ibiquity Digital plans to include several radio group executives in a press event at the Consumer Electronics Show on Jan. 5. Last year, Ibiquity had engineers from several groups lined up to push HD Radio. This year, executives from Bonneville, Clear Channel, Cox, Entercom and Radio One will disclose nation-wide HD Radio conversion plans.
Radio World will have on-the-scene coverage of the show from the exhibit hall.
Those expected to speak include: David Field, president and CEO, Entercom; Neil Johnston, chief financial officer, Cox Radio; Jeff Littlejohn, chief technology officer, Clear Channel; Bruce Reese, president and CEO, Bonneville and Chair of the NAB Radio Board; Scott Royster, chief financial officer, Radio One and Linda Vilardo, chief administrative officer, Radio One.
Also at CES, Ibiquity will showcase its latest supplemental audio services and navigation features as well as new HD Radio receivers in many product categories: automotive, table top, custom home.
In its booth, Ibiquity plans to exhibit vehicles equipped with OEM, aftermarket and advanced applications of HD Radio products. The vehicles on display will be a BMW 5 Series, a Toyota Scion and a Toyota Sequoia. Also to be displayed are: the Boston Acoustics tabletop HD Radio with the ability to decode supplemental audio, 2005 HD Radio aftermarket receivers from manufacturers such as Alpine, Delphi, Eclipse, JVC, Kenwood, Panasonic, Sanyo and Visteon and demos featuring supplemental audio broadcast live from KCNV(FM), Las Vegas.
