Jim Spencer is the new senior VP and CFO at Ibiquity Digital.
He replaces Pat Walsh, who left the technology developer to become the CFO for Emmis last September.
CEO Bob Struble says Spencer has experience building high-growth companies, “both as a financial executive and as an investment banker.”
Spencer was CFO, secretary and treasurer at Allion Healthcare in Melville, N.Y. At Allion during his tenure the company raised $130 million of public and private capital, “including the company’s initial and secondary public offerings,” Ibiquity noted in the announcement.
He’s also a former investment banker with Thomas Weisel Partners, Credit Suisse First Boston and Alex. Brown and Sons. Ibiquity says he “worked closely with growth companies on raising capital and advising on strategic transactions.”
Ibiquity tells me Spencer reports to work later this month.
