The 55th Annual Broadcast Symposium of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers will be held Oct. 12-14, in Washington. The event includes three days of technical presentations and a joint luncheon with the Association of Federal Communications Consulting Engineers and the annual society awards luncheon. Mobile and multimedia broadcasting will be discussed Oct. 12 as well as technical regulatory issues.
On Oct. 13, the technical program features sessions on audio broadcasting and DTV system performance and measurements. The speaker for the Joint AFCCE/IEEE luncheon will be Marsha MacBride, executive vice president, Law and Regulatory Policy, NAB.
