For the first time, no papers on analog topics were among those presented at the broadcast symposium of the IEEE Broadcast Technology Society.
That’s according to CBC/Radio Canada Technologies’ Guy Bouchard, symposium chair for the 57th annual get-together. I attended the event here in DC.
“After all, digital radio systems are reaching maturity and gathering momentum. Multimedia services are emerging with both wired and wireless offerings. Digital cable systems and IPTV are overgrowing their analog counterparts. All things considered, the only constant left in the broadcast industry, is change,” stated Bouchard in his opening address.
Shively Labs’ Bob Surette moderated the radio presentations.
