iHeart Boston’s WZLX Names PD

Changes for Charlotte cluster and in Des Moines as well

iHeartMedia Boston announced Chris Tyler has been named program director of WZLX(FM), and the company says Tamo Sein has been named assistant program director, music director and midday host for WEND(FM) in Charlotte. And Eric White has been named afternoon personality, music director and imaging director for KKD(FM) in Des Moines, effective Nov. 27.

Tyler most recently served as PD for iHeartMedia Cleveland at WMMS(FM) and WAKS(FM). He has been with iHeartMedia/Clear Channel for two decades. He began his radio career at WPRO(FM) in Providence, R.I. Tyler then spent time with WKMN(FM) and WXKS(FM) in Boston, followed by a stint as PD of WHJY(FM) and as senior vice president of programming position in Providence.

iHeartMedia Boston owns and operates WXKS(FM), WJMN(FM), WBWL(FM), WZLX(FM), WKAF(FM), WBZ(AM), WRKO(AM), and WXKS(AM).

Tamo Sein

In Charlotte, N.C., Tamo Sein will report to WEND Program Director Chuck “DZL” Thompson. She will broadcast from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. As assistant PD and music director, she will assist in the day-to-day operations of the station’s music programming and scheduling of music logs as well as be responsible for the station’s imaging and branding.

Sein joins iHeartMedia Charlotte from Richmond, Va., where she most recently served as the music director and afternoon drive host for iHeartMedia’s WRXL(FM). Her background includes music director and on-air personality positions at stations in St. Cloud, Minn.; Austin, Texas; and Norfolk, Va., where she began her career at WROX(FM).

iHeartMedia Charlotte owns and operates WEND, WKKT, WRFX, WHQC, WLKO and WRFX(HD2) and is part of iHeartMedia.

Eric White will report to iHeartMedia Des Moines Senior Vice President of Programming Greg Chance.

He will broadcast from 2–7 p.m. As music director, he will also assist in the day-to-day operations of the station’s music programming and be responsible for all of the station’s imaging.

He joins the Des Moines market from iHeartMedia Philadelphia, where he most recently worked in programming, promotions and was on-air. He also served as the PD and on-air talent for Temple University’s internet radio station, WHIP. He began his career as a programming intern at Beasley Media Group’s WMMR(FM) in Philadelphia and is a graduate of Temple University.

iHeartMedia Des Moines owns and operates WHO(AM), KXNO(AM), KCYZ(FM), KASI(AM), KDRB(FM), KDRB(FM) HD2, KDXA(FM) and KKDM(FM).
