IHeart Pope Radio

Pope Info Radio will broadcast live on Philly’s WJJZ

Ahead of Pope Francis’ visit to the United States, iHeartRadio has launched Pope Info Radio. The station will broadcast live on Philadelphia’s WJJZ(AM), a smooth jazz-formatted station, and also stream online, from Sept. 19–27.

The station will mix its typical smooth jazz songs with news on Pope Francis’ visit, including interviews with event organizers and officials, updates on event schedules and traffic, and weather and national coverage from iHeartRadio’s 24/7 news service. These informational elements will be shared after every song plays.

The station will also stream speeches or mass conducted by the Pope on all devices that iHeartRadio is available due to the significance of the first papal visit to the U.S. in seven years.
