iHeart Refreshes Its Presence on Roku

New version also gives access to personalized recommendations, “My Favorites Radio”

IHeartRadio announced updates to its iHeartRadio 2.0 app on Roku Players and Roku TVs.

A new version gives the user access to personalized recommendations, a genre picker and the previously introduced “My Favorites Radio,” which mixes a user’s favorite songs, artists and genres into one “station.”

The company writes in a blog post that this upgrade also features a refreshed design and a new full-screen player.

“With iHeartRadio 2.0 on Roku Players and Roku TVs, you can stream just about anything — so whether you’re in the mood for live radio or you want to create your own custom station based on our catalog of over 1 million artists and 30 million songs, iHeartRadio has you covered,” it tells users, highlighting a sleeker design that makes using the channel easier. Roku offers streaming players and TVs that work with paid or free channels such as Pandora, Netflix, Hulu, Sling television and Amazon Video.

The refresh is available on the Roku Channel Store.
