iHeart Ups Staudt to VP of Podcast Programming

Hall replaces him as digital program director for San Francisco cluster

iHeartMedia has promoted Matty Staudt to vice president of podcast programming at iHeartRadio, a newly created position, reporting to iHeartRadio Senior Vice President of Podcasting Chris Peterson. And back in San Francisco, Doug Hall will serve as digital program director, a position which Staudt vacated to take on his new role.

In San Francisco, iHeart says Staudt developed the first local branded podcast strategy and launched more than 30 local podcasts. In addition, he hosts the “Access Podcast.”

In total, Staudt has clocked nearly three decades of broadcast experience. He began his career at his WQZK(FM) in Keyser, W.Va., and has since worked as a producer, consultant and more. In 2008, he became the first director of content and community for podcast app Stitcher prior to moving to Premiere Networks as a consulting producer.

Doug Hall will report to iHeartMedia San Francisco SVP of Programming Don Parker. He joins the San Fran market from iHeart Miami, where he most recently served as the digital program director, a position that has not yet been filled. Hall also previously served as a member of the digital team for iHeartMedia Los Angeles. Hall began his career at KIIS(FM) in 2006.

iHeartMedia San Francisco operates KIOI(FM), KISQ(FM), KKSF(AM), KMEL(FM), KOSF(FM) KYLD(FM) and KNEW(AM).
