IHeartMedia Albany Chooses PD for WGY and Fox Sports

Wolf comes to New York from Florida

IHeartMedia Albany named Jeff Wolf as the new program director and news director for WGY(AM/FM) and WOFX(FM)/Fox Sports 980, effective June 22. He will also oversee the “News Hub,” providing news for nine markets in the Northeast.

Wolf joins the market from iHeartMedia Tallahassee, Fla., where he spent the last two years as PD for WFLA(FM) and WNLS(FM)/94.3 My FM. He previously worked for Border Media Partners in Austin, Texas, as a news/talk/classic hits PD and operations manager and for WINK/WNOG/WFSX in Fort Myers/Naples, Fla.

“Jeff is going to be a great fit with our team here in the Capital District,” said iHeartMedia Albany Senior Vice President of Programming John Cooper. “His news-talk-sports skills are outstanding and he will add to the legacy of one of America’s original radio stations.”

IHeartMedia Albany consists of WTRY(FM); WRVE(FM/HD2); WKKF(FM); WPYX(FM); WGY; and WOFX.
