IHeartMedia Announces Changes for Brands Team

Lawson expands duties, Anderson will lead Talk Brand Management team

Jim Lawson, iHeartMedia vice president of programming of Hispanic Media and brand manager for National Programming Platforms, will expand his duties to include regional manager for iHeartMedia Colorado and operations manager for Colorado Springs and Pueblo, Colo.

Lawson will oversee all programming operations for the Colorado stations. His duties as will include managing the strategy and execution of Colorado Springs and Pueblo’s eight combined stations, and he will continue his duties as VP of Programming for Hispanic Media and brand manager for National Programming Platforms.

He joined the company in 2001 as PD of KFMD(FM) in Denver. Prior to that, Lawson helped to launch one of the first modern adult contemporary stations, KALC(FM) in Denver. His more than 25 years of broadcast experience includes programming and on-air roles at stations of various formats.

In related news, Carl Anderson has been named the new talk brand manager for iHeartMedia’s Brand Management team, adding to his duties as executive vice president of Programming-Midwest.

Anderson will lead the new Talk Brand Management team which will include: Grace Blazer, brand coordinator, who will also continue in her role as director of talk programming in Miami. Greg Foster is also named Brand Coordinator, adding to his duties as VP of programming in Denver. Finally, Kelly Carls also will join the team as brand coordinator and will continue as regional programming manager.
