iHeartMedia Announces Leadership Changes

Remy Hoesly named 30 Under 30 honoree

The newly christened iHeartMedia has chosen Don Gosselin as program director of San Antonio stations KAJA(FM) and KRPT(FM), effective September 29. Gosselin will report to Paula Newell, vice president of programming for San Antonio.

He will oversee operations for iHeartMedia San Antonio’s country music property, “KJ 97” (KAJA) as well as its classic country station, “92.5 K-Buc” (KPRT).

Gosselin most recently worked for iHeartMedia (then Clear Channel) in New Orleans, where he served as the operations manager for KVDU(FM), WNOE(FM), WODT(FM), WQUE(FM), WRNO(FM/HD) and WYLD(AM/FM).

Additionally, Bree Wagner has been promoted to assistant program director for KAJA and KRPT, effective Monday, Sept. 29. Wagner currently serves as music director for the station and will report to Gosselin in both roles.

IHeartMedia Minneapolis has upped 23-year radio veteran Grant Giessinger to general sales manager for the market’s seven-station cluster.

Giessinger joins iHeartMedia from CBS Radio in Minneapolis where he led their sales division. He also previously served as sales manager and GM/vice president for then Clear Channel North Dakota.

In Fresno, Calif., KHGE(FM) 102.7 The Wolf, says Greg Lane, joined the station as midday host, weekdays from 10–3 p.m., beginning Sept. 11.

Lane joins KHGE after more than 22 years of on-air experience in the market. He most recently served as on-air personality at KSKS(FM) hosting middays. Lane has also hosted a special CMA broadcast, “Live From Nashville.”

WWDC(FM), in Washington, has named Josh Klinger as night host, beginning Sept. 17. He will host weekdays from 7 p.m. to midnight.

Klinger has more than 25 years of experience in the radio industry and most recently worked out of the iHeartMedia Atlanta market, including mornings on WKLS(FM) (now WWPW). Prior to Atlanta, Klinger served as the afternoon drive host for WPLA(FM) in Jacksonville, Fla.

In other iHeartMedia personnel news, at the RAIN Summit in Indianapolis, Zach “Remy” Hoesly from “The Mason and Remy Show,” was named a recipient of a 30 Under 30 Award. “The Mason and Remy Show” can be heard weekday mornings in St. Louis on KLOU(FM) and afternoons on KSD(FM).

The 30 Under 30 Award is presented yearly by Edison Research and RAIN News to 30 audio professionals under the age of 30 and has been awarded for the past seven years.
